BENEFITS OF MINDFULNESS
Research has shown that mindfulness improves physical and mental well-being, as well as reducing stress and insomnia. It has also been proven to sharpen focus, boost performance, enhance communication and interpersonal relationships. Practising mindfulness can help you build resilience and live a more effective and joyful life.
To build a strong foundation for a mindful life, I would recommend a mindfulness-based stress reduction course (MBSR) or a 4-week Compassionate Mindful Resilience(CMR) ; see below for details
Day Retreats

Retreats offer an opportunity to rest away from daily distractions providing a much-needed antidote to the life’s stresses. We include optional movement walking and sensory meditations as well as the more traditional style.
Our retreats are held at Hauxley Wildlife Discovery Centre which is nestled at the northern end of Druridge Bay in Northumberland, offering a stunning setting with a view that overlooks the sea, the reserve’s serene lake, and its beautiful grounds.

Compassionate Mindful Resilience(CMR)4-week course
Designed by Karen Atkinson CEO of MindfulnessUK this course is approved by British and European Associations of Mindfulness-based Approaches (BAMBA and EAMBA)
Attendees learn the skills and attitudes of mindfulness to increase self-awareness and focus. Interweaved are methods to develop a healing sense of compassion that can nurture self, and relationships, and boost emotional intelligence. Approaches used have evidence-bases in medicine, psychology and neuroscience.
